Notes: The Pedregal Vineyard, located in the Oakville appellation of Napa Valley, is a small, hillside vineyard known for its rocky terrain, hence the name “Pedregal,” which means a rocky place in Spanish. The vineyard is planted with 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot, and it’s characterized by its iron-rich red soil and basalt rock composition. The vineyard has been under a long-term lease since 2008, ensuring consistent management. The wines produced here are a co-fermentation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, undergoing native-yeast and full natural malolactic fermentations. They are aged on lees for 24 months in new French oak barrels, with bi-monthly bâtonnage to coat the tannins and integrate the wood smoothly. The wines are then lightly fined with egg whites and bottled without filtration, showcasing the unique terroir and meticulous winemaking practices of the Pedregal Vineyard.

Aromatically the wine has that classic Napa Cab note of fresh pencil shavings, as well as notes of fresh flowers, and nearly jammy red and black fruits. On the palate the wine is full bodied with silken tannins, juicy mixed fruits, and a lingering Oakville dustiness.
