Notes: Vigneti di Foscarino is Inama’s interpretation of the Soave Classico that looks back to ancient times. It recalls ancestral traditions in order to express forgotten aromas. Situated between 100m to 200m above sea level with a southeast exposure, the vineyard is located on basaltic-volcanic soil on the Monte Foscarino. The wine comes from a selection of old vines, more than 40 years old trained using the Pergola system. 100% Garganega: this variety was introduced in the Classic area 2,000 years ago by the Romans. Fermentation takes place in used barriques. Prior to racking, batonnage is carried out every 6 weeks for about 6 months. The final wine settles for 6 months in stainless steel vats.
Aromatically the wine has notes of honeysuckle and other sweet wildflowers. On the palate, the mouthfeel is a little larger, with almond flavors as well as a finish of balancing minerality that shows exciting aging potential.
