NOTES: Chambolle-Musigny Les Fouchères is a wine from a unique site characterized by a natural amphitheatre that provides a balance of freshness and good fruit maturity. Located close to the 1er Cru Les Borniques and not far from the cool Chambolle amphitheatre, this vineyard faces north and east at the top. The vineyard, situated at the bottom of this amphitheatre, has an east-facing exposition and is rich in limestone, contributing to its pure and tense profile. The name "Fouchères" originates from the old French word for beechwood, reflecting the area's historical vegetation. François, the winemaker, employs a gentle approach to highlight the site's inherent tension and elegance, resulting in a wine that embodies both freshness and refined complexity. The winemaking process involves only bucket transfers to preserve the wine's identity, ensuring a refined and authentic expression.
