***CASE10 SELECTION***

Proprietary Blend: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio.

Notes: "I produced this wine for the first time in 2007. Don't get me wrong: I really like beautiful rosés. I just never thought I'd make one. It was not a priority of mine. But it was for my daughter Elena. The attraction of the color pink to the fair sex is well known, particularly at the venerable age of 3. Having painted the cellar pink just wasn't enough. Was there a red wine? Was there a white one? Well, we also needed a pink one! And the extraordinary versatility of Nerello, I soon discovered, was just what was needed. Not an easy wine to produce. Quite the opposite: balance is sought on tiptoe. The Platonic ideal, at least as I see it, if I may express myself in this way, would be the rosé that has the body of a white and the soul of a red. However, this is what I am looking for: a wine that is joyful without being frivolous; that has tension without being austere. And I feel like we're close." -Marco de Grazia

Our rosé is bright, even nervous, but never superficial. The joy it conveys is refined, with the possibility of refining wonderfully over time. Not that there is any reason to age him. But, as it ages, it is surprising to discover its freshness combined with unexpected complexity in a rosé. Fish, poultry, soups, pasta, ham and melon, salami and figs, bread, olives and cheese. Extreme versatility.
