Notes: Cartizze is a small, superiore-level area within Valdobbiadene which is known for its high-quality Glera grapes grown on every hill in the region. The area is comprised of hillside vineyards, mostly south-facing (some of which are quite steep) with mixed soils - typically of glacial moraine, sandstone, and clay - that are low-nutrient and well-drained. After the initial fermentation, the wine is put in contact with its fine lees in stainless steel for 3 months. Secondary fermentation is done by "Metodo Italiano" in steel pressure tanks.
