Notes: The Estate Vineyard, planted in 1998, is organically dry-farmed and sits at 1400 ft. Just 4 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, the 90-acre ranch has 8 acres under vine with 2 planted to Syrah. The wine is fermented 100% whole cluster with native yeasts and spends 11 months Sur Lie in 20% New French Oak barrels.
Lush aromas of coastal bay, tobacco, tomato leaf, sandalwood, dense earth, and charcuterie Tobacco and dense earth give a frame to high tones of sandalwood, tomato leaf, and peppercorn. The structured palate is firm right now and will soften with aging or decanting.
