NOTES: After several years of August harvests, a shift to late September harvests has been observed at Domaine de Bellene. The entirely manual process typically begins in late September and lasts for about a week. The region often experiences wet years, with severe spring frost episodes. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the harvest is usually of very good quality but yields can be low due to the negative temperatures in spring.

The wines produced are delicious, round, and well-balanced, with the Pinot Noirs exuding aromas of red fruits and the Chardonnays offering notes of white-fleshed fruits. Aging in oak barrels imparts woody notes to the reds and toasted hazelnuts to the whites. The elegance of these wines allows them to be enjoyed young or after a period of aging in the cellar.

The Potel family, who have been making Burgundy wines since 1964, have passed down their passion for the vine, wine, and humanity over 50 years, from Gérard to Nicolas. Their cuvée, composed of five 1er cru's, reflects the complexity and delicacy of their terroirs in Beaune, where their Pinot Noirs are cultivated. The climates of Pertuisots, Montee Rouge, Reverses, Bressandes, and Clos du Roi are part of this cuvée. They carry out smooth pumping-overs and perform foot-treading. The grapes are gently pressed in a vertical press, resulting in wines that reflect the unique characteristics of their terroir.
