NOTES: Every year we have the opportunity to pull out all the stops and make the ultimate expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from David’s vineyard. Sitting at over one thousand feet above sea level, these carefully selected vines give us our much celebrated and highly sought-after flagship wine: Elevation 1147. Expressive and com plex, much like David himself, this wine exudes everything we love about the terroir of Pritchard Hill. Always 100% single-vari etal Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine simultaneously exudes power and finesse, structure and elegance, extraction and grace. Nature and nurture have once again come together to showcase one of Napa Valley’s finest expressions of this noble grape.
TASTING NOTES: A dense, near-opaque, dark, ruby color offers an immense array of fruit and spice aromas; crushed black fruits of dark cherry and blackberry, dark chocolate and hints of bay laurel, notes of sage blossom as well as lightly toasted oak spice. The palate is rich and broad with momentum that carries both longevity and power across the length of the palate. It is layered with flavors of baked cherry-tamarind, Asian plums and mint-sage spice on the finish. A force to be reckoned with, this vintage should hold a 15-30 aging window. Best from 2020 to 2040.
