Notes: Tenuta Nuova (new property) is a pioneering and visionary vineyard project emboding the belief and passion of Casanova di Neri. This vineyard had never grown Sangiovese before. All fruit is hand harvested. Manual selection of the grapes before and after destemming, followed by a spontaneous fermentation without the addition of artificial yeast. Maceration is assisted by a falling down system, and everything is carried out inside open cone-shaped and temperature controlled fermenters for 24 days. The wine ages for 18 months in oak barrels and an additional 12 months in bottle.
